We can't get enough of Antonio and love having him come visit and break bread with us!
Check out the menu our wonderful team has come up with! We can't wait to share with you!
Cost of the dinner is $125/person, but we are only charging $50 up front to reserve your seat and then you can settle up the remaining $75 after the dinner.
First Course
Erbazzone Reggiano - A savory flatbread filled with verdant spinach and tangy Reggiano cheese topped with a dressed arugula garnish.
Paired With:
Fun, unusual, and extremely well-made, this everyday "blanc de noirs" take on Etna's famous red grape left us grinning from ear to ear. After a subtle nose of lemon blossoms, the palate takes over with its bold architecture, bright acidity, and pronounced flavors of lemon curd. While winemaker Rosario Madaudo and his father produce several still wines, they are well-known locally for their diverse array of Sicilian bubblies, all offered up at "Palaverve", the family's hip sparkling wine bar in Messina.
Second Course
Fennel and orange salad with goat cheese and olives and a whole lot of swagger!
Paired With:
2021 Monte Tondo Casette Foscarino Soave Classico DOC
Right now, and we don’t say this flippantly, the Magnabosco’s are making some of the finest Soave in Italy, and this cru is a stunning example of what the Garganega grape can do in the hands of masters. A true family estate that cuts no corners, Monte Tondo is determined to elevate Soave to a whole different level. With fermentation as low as 14 degrees, and yields as low as 600g per plant, this is an Italian white wine that delivers pinging clarity, extreme minerality, and rich, fullbodied weight in spades! 92 points James Suckling.
Third Course
Citrus Tagliolini with prawns and lime butter! - Light and Airy and oh so delicious!
Paired With:
2018 Edi Simčič Sauvignon Riserva
Winemaker Aleks Simčič has a heart for Sauvignon Blanc, and it shows. This voluptuous, ageworthy specimen bursts with rich varietal character on the nose. Its fully developed body offers a fine mineral core, with notes of mint, menthol, sweetscented grass, honeycomb and white blossoms. With bottle aging, the mature fruits, exotic spices, and long finish become increasingly present. Perfect for grilled fish, or warm “primi piatti” with aromatic herbs.
Fourth Course
Braised Short Rib Lasagna! - Savory, hearty, and the right amount of too much cheese!
Paired With:
2016 Tacchino Du Riva Dolcetto d'Ovada Superiore DOCG
The first Dolcetto d'Ovada to be awarded Tre Bicchiere by Gambero Rosso, this opulent take on Piedmont's unsung hero has now received the coveted nod an impressive 13 years in a row! After a complex nose of dark cherry, anise, and earth spice, the luxurious palate offers up an array of dark fruits and soft, integrated tannins. SW exposure, higher altitude, and rich calcareous soils all contribute to the character of this wine, as does Tacchino's use of the rare "nibiu" clone of Dolcetto - which tends to yield less, but riper, more concentrated juice.
Fifth Course
Bomboloni! As delicious as it is fun to say! Mini Doughnuts filled with a chocolate cream!
Paired With
Lovo Colli Euganei Fior d’Arancio Spumante DOCG
One whiff of this stunning sparkler and you’ll understand the name, which translates to “orange blossom”. Colli Euganei Fior d’Arancio is one of the world’s most unique wines: a rare clone of Moscato Giallo that, when well-managed, is sweet on the mid-palate, then crisp and mouth-watering on the finish. Wow! Produced by Salvatore Lovo, a true hands-on winemaker, and one of only a dozen that can produce this particular DOCG. Perfect for dessert or brunch!
Cheers!
